The first of four entries in the Heavenly Cask series, this limited-edition release from Ron Zacapa sees the iconic solera-aged rum further influenced by American whisky barrels and sherry casks. The use of sweet Pedro Xim?nez sherry butts adds a layer of dried fruit and roasted pineapple to a rich palate of vanilla, dark chocolate and banana. This final blend is elaborated with rum reserves that have been aged for at least 15 years in Cuba. Havana Club 15 Year Old is a rum which has been submitted to long and patient natural ageing periods. | A relaunch of Havana Club's Cuban Barrel Proof edition, Selecci?n de Maestros has benefited from an eye-catching packaging upgrade and is bottled at 45% for extra oomph. The Gold Medal-winning liquid inside Havana Club Selecci?n de Maestros remains the same as for the old Cuban Barrel Proof - as the name suggests, the casks have been hand-picked by the maestros roneros from the company's finest aged stocks.
