| Content | The rich palate of the 18 Year Old is the result of a combination of several different cask types. The Glenlivet Master Distiller Alan Winchester has a wealth of quality casks to choose from when creating this complex expression, with American and European Oak, first and second fill, all playing their parts. European Oak imparts spicy hints and brings additional complexity. First-fill American Oak adds tropical fruitiness. Full bodied dram, with a smooth fruity and smoky finish, pairs excellent with a nice Cohiba Robusto or H Upmann N2. | | A fresh and fruity whisky from Japan, the Yamazaki is full of red fruit flavors with a touch of sherry cask. It's also got some mizunara (Japanese oak) matured whisky in the blend, which comes through as a complex and spicy. | Laphroaig Lore is a 2016 addition to the distillery's range. Made up of whiskies aged in a combination of quarter casks, sherry casks and reused peated casks. This is rich and classically peaty with a spicy chili bite and a long, sweet aftertaste. | One of our favorite whiskies, this has to be one of the most consistently excellent malt whiskies of the past 10 years. Great to pair with an afternoon cigar. | The pinnacle of the Glenrothes new range is this decadent 25 Year Old, which was awarded the Chairman?s Trophy at the 2018 Ultimate Spirits Challenge. Aged in mostly first-fill sherry-seasoned casks, it has notes of tropical fruits, coriander seed and salted caramel.
